Yesterday we drove to Salt Lake and met our friends Linda and Howard Carter at Little America Hotel. We actually stayed in the outside units which were very nice and had a great prime rib dinner in the hotel. We took the train to Temple Square where we heard a wonderful concert with the Orchestra at Temple Square and a guest pianist. Afterward we walked a few blocks to see the new Harmon's grocery store and then took the train back to the hotel.
We had a very peaceful and enjoyable sleep but the Carters called us a few minutes after we were supposed to meet for breakfast saying that they had just awakened because they were up much of the night with very disturbing noise coming from the room next door. It was too bad. I guess that it can happen in any type of place.
We walked down the street for breakfast and when we came back we were surprised to find a maid in the bathroom cleaning and the clothes that I had laid out on the bed folded on a chair and the bed made for the next customers. We had planned to use the bathroom, brush teeth and change before we checked out but I guess that their policy is to go on into the room whether it is check-out time or empty yet. It makes you wonder why they have a 12:00 check out time when you've lost your privacy before you intend to be out.
It was fun to be with the Carters. We had a great dinner. The concert was great. The weather was wonderful and the bed was too. So much for the small stuff.

Glad you enjoyed the concert! We've learned lately that they come right on in before check out unless we have the do not disturb on the door. It's always fun to get away though - so glad you had a nice weekend!
Sounds like a fun get away!
