In the afternoon we visited the Tianlong Tunpu village where the troops were stationed to guard the frontiers during the Ming dynasty (1268-1398) The homes were built of stone and they had slate roofs. It is the home of mong people rather than the minority people of the rest of the trip. The performers at the ground or Tunpu Dixi Opera were masks at the top of their heads rather than the painted faces of traditional Chinese Opera.

The dragon temple area is totally what I picture when I picture China in my head. Absolutly beautiful!
So were you carefully the rockslide? The dragon temple pictures could be postcards!
I am so excited that you are able to see and experience all of these things! What a great opportunity and what great stories you will have.
