We spent that night with the Smith's also and then got up early and headed for Flathead Lake, Montana. We didn't get very many pictures of Flathead but it was HUGE and we liked the lake at Polson especially well. We got into Kalispell about 4:00 so went to Walmart and didn't hurry to find a motel. By the time we did there was nothing available in town. We drove and drove and
finally got something in Whitefish about 6:00. No one knew why the whole area which is full of motels was full on a Tuesday night in September.
