Mike and I both woke early and decided to go onto the deck and watch the sunrise and the landing of the ship. It was beautiful.
We caught our taxi that took us to our penthouse in Waikiki from the ship parking lot. Our landlord was there to meet us and took us up to the 40th floor and showed us around. It was a very well stocked apartment and the views were unbelievable. It was across the street from Fort De Russy and a few blocks from the Hilton complex and beach.
After we got settled we caught a bus into Honolulu and visited the Iolani Palace. We first saw a movie and then toured the facility. It was a wonderful way to learn some of the history of the state. We each had a self-guiding recording which was good but a bit too long for my taste.
Once we caught a bus back across to Waikiki we walked a short distance to Tony Roma's for ribs. We watched a movie in the pent house and looked out at the amazing views that evening.
