Day Nine- Wellington, New Zealand

Wellington is the capital of New Zealand.  It is nestled between rolling hills and the harbor.  It was a bit wet and Mike and I just explored the downtown some and spent some time in the Nat'l Museum .

We visited the Te Papa national museum for a good part of the day.  It was rich with Maori culture and has the largest squid ever captured preserved there.  It was so large that they had to use all kinds of special procedures because if they froze it the outside would be rotten before the inside would have thawed.  It measured 13 feet long.
