Day Ten- Picton, New Zealand

Wellington - This city is at the bottom of the North Island.

Picton - Across from Wellington at the top end of the South Island and in fjord-like area called Marlborough Sound.
Picton was a beautiful little city.  The towns people met us at the boat and invited us to see the market in the square and told us of the things that we ought to see.  They were all so friendly and fun to talk to.  We bought a few things at the market and in town but mostly just enjoyed wandering.
Without a doubt Mike's favorite place in Picton was the Edwin Fox Museum.  They had restored this old boat so that you could walk through it and climb down into it and everything was labeled and so easy to understand.  Before we went into the boat we saw a movie telling about the years in restoration and some of the history of the
boat.  Mike got pictures of fish hooks and all kinds of other things related to the ship in the little museum there.
