Muslim/Chinese Mosque.
Big Goose Pagoda.
We visited a silk factory where we splurged on a king sized silk comforter, (Got to spend the big bucks we are making, don't we?)

We were lucky enough to see the south end of the wall decorated for the New Year. They sell tickets to the locals who come up to enjoy. Our timing was just right and we very quickly saw it for only the price of the ride.

The city wall around the city has been rebuilt. Although it was freezing cold and windy we were happy that we took a cart ride clear around the city. It was interesting to see the different gates and the moat below.

Xian is a very smoggy city.

The Emperer's Chariot as found and restored.

Standing archer.
Calvaryman.
Middle ranking officer.

High ranking officer.

An archer.
Absolutely amazing. Dig #1 is the length of 2 football fields.

While were in the store (where we bought one of the most expensive treats for ourself- a set of six tiles embossed with the Emperor's Chariot) Mike started talking to the four on the right side of the picture who are from Pleasant Grove. When we left the store we went for lunch and they came in the same place. I kept looking at the woman and asked her some questions but nothing matched. Finally I asked her bout SUU and she said that they had liived in Cedar and we realized that I had been their 16-year-old son's preschool teacher. I asked where they lived in PG and found out that they are backdoor neighbors of the Maxwell's and know Steph. Then our friends the Norman's mentioned that they have a nephew that lives in that area and we found that they are also neighbors in the Ward. All in Xian, China.
